Our Chiropractors

Dr. Chris Anderson and Dr. Katia Langton moved to Vancouver Island in 2006 and opened Harbour City Chiropractic Nanaimo. Prior to the move they spent the previous 10 years operating a busy downtown Vancouver practice.

Dr. Katia Langton

Dr. Katia Langton has a practice focus on postural problems, osteoarthritis, diabetic foot complications and mobility problems that affect women and seniors. She is an active lecturer with the Canadian Diabetes Association on Diabetic Foot Complications and is Wound Care Certified L1. Dr. Langton studied Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and Economics at Capilano University and then received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1996. She is a Certified Pedorthist and is also trained in Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention and Comprehensive Treatment and Management of the Neuropathic Foot. Her focus is on correcting your spinal problems from the ground up.

Dr. Chris Anderson

Dr. Chris Anderson is the Vice-Chair of the Discipline Committee of the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia and the Vancouver Island Director of the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia. Dr. Chris Anderson has a practice focus on biomechanical problems with the feet and lower legs affecting posture and perpetuating back pain and spinal problems. During his internship he studied and practiced at the Wellesly-Central hospital where he learned to manage complex musculoskeletal pain cases. Following graduation from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto as a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Anderson was employed by the Thorson pain clinic in North Vancouver. This facility employed Chiropractors, physical therapists, medical specialists and others to diagnose and manage complicated chronic pain cases in a team environment. Dr. Anderson also holds a Diploma in Physical Education from Vancouver Island University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance (Kinesiology) from the University of Victoria. He is Certified in the Saskatchewan Spine Pathways (evidence based guidelines for low back pain for Medical Doctors) and is a Certified Pedorthist. He also has extra training in managing, treating and rehabilitating complex shoulder injuries.

Lynne has been with our office since we opened in 2006 and we are glad she has stayed to help run our office so efficiently. She handles all ICBC claims efficiently and helps you with all your insurance coverage for Chiropractic and Custom Orthotics. Additionally, Lynne’s specialty is melding fashion with function in sizing for the orthopaedic shoes.

Maggie Stewart

Maggie Stewart is a Registered Nurse with specialized training in Foot Care Nursing and is now a member of the Oceanside FootCare Nursing Association. She has been practicing as a Registered Nurse for many years and now has joined Oceanside Foot Care Nursing to provide in-office and mobile nursing services to seniors in residence care. Her focus is corn and callus removal as well as toe-nail care and her specialty is in Diabetic Foot Care and patient education. Maggie is trained in Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention and regularly lectures with the Certified Pedorthists of Island Pedorthic FootCare on preventative foot care for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
